DaxD0w How could you? I actually fell for it ;3;/ Anyway, here´s my Review on this as I disagree with Pineapples.
First Cube:(0:00-0:13) Yes! The Gameplay and Music Sync here are really awesome! I love how you played with the BG here, it´s so good! The main Thing this Part is lacking, however, is the Design again. See, besides the Background, there is really only the Course Geometry here, such as Blocks and Spikes. And that´s it. Add some more Objects! Glow! Stuff from all of the Deco Tabs in the Editor! This just feels too empty this Way, I´m sorry.
First Ship:(0:14-0:27) You know what? I could just Copy + Paste my Review of the first Part here and it would still fit. I like how you did the BG, the moving Objects and everything, but Put. More. Deco! It´s there for a Reason! I´m sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is just how it is. It´s too empty.
First UFO:(0:28-0:40) This Part is slightly better than the others, like look at the big Object at 0:34. Spread something like this, or even simpler Things over your Level and you´ll be good. Gameplay here is fun, moving Objects are also well done! I quite like this Part actually.
First Robot:(0:41-0:54) Well, this is basically the same as the first Cube, but worse because the Blocks are underdecorated now, now there´s really only the basic Course Geometry left. Also, there are some Blocks that move to a different Position or Height without any Indication. Add something so the Player atleast somewhat knows what´s coming. Other Flaws include the Custom BG at 0:53 not going high enough, so you can see over it, making it feel even more empty. Also, I don´t like the Transition here, it feels too sudden, I mean, you can see it coming, but it kinda comes out of nowhere.
First Wave:(0:55-1:00) This actually generally looks very good and fun, though a little underdecorated again and also, the Speed Transitions should be indicated. I mean, they do sync to the Music nicely, but having them completely invisible without Indication is still just not good. Maybe you can create some Sort of custom Speed Changer if you don´t like the original ones. Gameplay and Music Sync here are great otherwise.
First Ball:(1:01-1:08) Uhh, interesting Block Design Choice I guess. This is basically the same as with the Wave: Indicate Speed Changers; Decorate a bit more(And by that I mean build more than the very basic Structures of the Level); and otherwise it´s pretty good.
Cube Sections:(1:09-End) Ugh, I´m sorry but this is basically just boring again. This Time not even the Gameplay is that good honestly. Plus I see a lot of Copy + Paste in the last Part. And please don´t make your Ending a 5 Second Auto like that. I just generally don´t like when People do that, idk. And if at the End, you are already going to make the Blocks invisible, then why not make the Pads invisible as well?
Gameplay: 7.4/10 Very nice for the most Part, it started off great in the Beginning, and then slowly got worse over the Course of the Level. If it would have stayed like it was in the Beginning, this would have been a 9/10 but I´m gonna have to give 7.4/10 now.
Music Sync: 8.2/10 Generally pretty well done, BG was synced, Gameplay for the most part, but sometimes the Gameplay also had to suffer a bit. Up to 0:50, you also very much hit the Theme of the Song, then the Level turned straight into a Disco for some Reason.
Design and Deco: 2.1/10 Sorry, but this was just not good. There was nearly no Deco to be found ANYWHERE, no Matter where I tried to look.
Originality: 6/10 Mmh, I guess some Things here have been seen before, but generally it doesn´t feel copied or anything. It´s just about average honestly.
Extras: 5.4/10 Well, there was a very nice Custom BG, you used some 2.0 Features(Even if not always perfectly) and well, the Thing I´m missing here is some Kind of Atmosphere given to the Level. 0:00-0:50 it´s still pretty good, but then it goes into a flashing Madness, for whatever Reason. Not sure why this was neccesary, but well, Choices are being made.
Score: 29.1/50 or 5.82/10,
4
I´d put this to Decent for now, because of many of the Flaws listed above, but I´m sure you can do better. Keep it up!
