Pretty good level! I played it with headphones so the music was bae <3 It also fitted a lot with the music!
I recommend that you include a video for next time, but now I recorded one:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4AgGJJIyroHere's my review:
First a little description for each part.
0:00 - The very first part's deco is just copied over and over and the bones has no ceiling/roof to stand on so it looks very weird... The gameplay is also very annoying and it could have been funnier if this was a robot part. Liked the 3D red and blue colors popping up though!
0:07 - The next part here has also just copy+paste over and over. Perhaps it would have looked a bit better with a custom BG? For the gameplay it is pretty easy, but please warn the player of those triangle objects popping up randomly. Otherwise it's really good usage of moving blocks. As well as the last part I liked the 3D colors as well as all the color flashes looked really good. Also PLEASE make the gravity portals visible 'cause NOBODY can predict those.
0:16 - This wave part is bae <3 It fitted very well to the music and when I was wearing the headphones too it was a really fun experience! Nice job!Deco is also really good and detailed, but some of the blocks are missing corner pieces. Good that you have these triangle objects in the background even though they are very similar to the ones in DLV3 by Noriega.
0:19 - Nice and hard flying part. It was a bit annoying, but I liked it. Decowise this is also really good!
0:21 - Nice robot part! I also like that you change the gameplay so often and change the colors as well, but still keep the same style. Love it! Transition at 0:23 you need to remember to fill in black blocks above. UFO part at 0:23 was a little bit annoying in the start, but when I learned the trick I made it almost every time.
0:25 - Wonderful ball part! You shouldn't have put those spikes at the last jump pad. At least you should have made them clearer...
0:32 - This wave part is awesome! There is a LOT of details in this part so it was a bit difficult to see the gameplay.
0:40 - Meh, everything is a bit too red. Decowise it's alright, but the custom BG wasn't really that detailed. Gameplay-wise this was great though! It also fit very well to the music
0:47 - You mentioned that this part wasn't really that good, and sadly I agree with you on that. There were a lot of speed changes (that went to the music) that were invisible making the gameplay very frustrating and annoying. Also the triangle objects were just copied over and over. Gameplay wasn't really that fun either because of the speed portals. Also mini/normal portals are also pretty important to make visible because it's a pretty big difference whether it's a mini wave or normal wave!
Design: 8/10 - I liked the design a lot overall. Many parts was very detailed and had lots of good deco. Other parts need some work and there is some places where minor fixes is needed.
Gameplay: 7.5/10 - Gameplay overall was really fun, but many of my attempts was at the first part where the timings were just stupid. Some places there are also invisible portals and these need to be visible! Also some unfair gameplay here and there. Gameplay was still pretty good and I enjoyed playing the level and it fit very well to the music.
Music Sync: 8.5/10 - Some places the gameplay didn't really fit, but most of the time the level synced and fitted a LOT to the music and music sync is really what makes this level stronger. Especially the drop is very good
Originality: 7.5/10 - Wasn't that original, but that wave part was spectacular though and it could have been worse ;D
Overall Score: 8/10
