Staff are inducted and fired all the time. Why not coordinate it? Every 3 months (4 times a year), people can vote to hire and fire staff. That's my suggestion. Hope you think this is cool, Invertia

Hope you think this is cool, Invertia I'm not quite so sure about this. I've seen this happen before where all forum members were allowed to choose and some horrendous mod was elected that only made matters worse. It's entirely the staff's decision as to whether they want to allow people to vote for future mods, but those who run and administrate the forum will always have a better idea as to who would be more suitable for the task. As for making it a regular thing, I'm not quite so sure. There's nothing regular as to when a member of staff should be fired. You don't want to be holding onto a member of staff who is only making things worse for a couple of months just because it's nice to have things happen in a regular manner. The same applies to electing staff. On top of this, there's no point adding extra staff if it isn't really needed, like now, and there's no way of knowing whether more staff will be necessary when it comes to the "staff election" deadline.

True. I was just thinking of coordinating it instead of fire, 10 days later, new hire, 1 month later, fire, etc.

I don't normally like talking about moderation with staff and members, but seriously, why on Earth is Michigun a list editor, especially when he has 0 posts and his last activity was in late June...

I agree that mods should be active in the forums. Being active in the staff boards is no excuse.
