Moved. This is a review of: Polargeist v2
Gameplay (1/4): Overly simple and repetitive, can get pretty boring. Occasionally buggy as well, make sure to test your jumps throughly to make sure they wont kill the player randomly. Also give more time for the player to react to teleport transitions.
Decoration (0/3): It doesn't look ugly for the most part, I'll say that. But it is extremely basic and empty, using only the simplest default blocks and decor and nothing else. And at that not even in new interesting ways. Theres a lot of options in the editor, explore them and try them out. And the sky looks bad when its completely empty, try putting decoration up there.
Musical Affinity (1/3): Some parts are okay, such as the mirror portal and color change at the start corresponding to the big release of tension. And the gameplay at the second square shows some good attention to the music, but the other parts are lacking. Additionally, the background is fairly static. Usually the level is more interesting to play when the backgrounds fades or pulses to the music.
Originality (x0.67): There is absolutely nothing special about the level, I'm sorry. It uses only default blocks, very simple gameplay, and not even an interesting song. Of course, the official levels are similar to this; but since yours does the same but a little worse, no one will want to play it because they've seen this exact type of thing before.
Overall (1.33/10): This belongs in Needs Improvement, and it definitely doesn't deserve being starred or featured. Even though you scored badly, don't be discouraged: EVERY creator starts out like this, and the more you build, the better you get at it. So if you enjoy this, then don't give up and keep doing it. The thing you can do to improve most would be to experiment more with the different features and objects in the level editor to make a more variety of things.
