Personally I would put jayfrost in charge. He's the closest thing we have to a mod besides WillFlame on the forums already. Plus willflame. You can't mention mods without willflame. Also all of the dragons den mods. I haven't been on the server but its the most active clan on the forums and they are the most experienced as far as being a mod is concerned.
Also jackattack I would not be a good mod lmao. I would probably change all the emotes to like the face from bass cave. You would be a good mod though. You are pretty much the most active person on the forums I would say besides like maybe despey.

I've been lurking on this thread for a while but I don't think many others will give their opinions.
I agree with the general sentiment, there's only a small handful of active users now and most of them are friendly, constructive, willing to help, and familiar with how the forum works. I've been considering maybe one new staff member since Ezel and the other mods have been busy/inactive, just for the times when I can't be on the forum. Still not sure though, aside from occasional explosive moments usually we only get a few new threads a day, and members always report incidents very quickly.
I feel like trial mods are a good idea in theory, but I don't think they're very useful unless they're limited to one specific section with full mod powers (like how Support Mods had global mod permissions in the Support board only). They're obviously trusted enough to have some power, and I don't think a trial period of n weeks is really going to make them suddenly go mad and abuse it or something. Unless it's more of a trial period for them to see if they enjoy moderating, I guess.

I would make everyone who is admin and higher right now an admin.
BUT:
I would make WillFlame, Jayfrost, and Jackattack global mods and demote myself to a regular user.

In the state of the forums, couldn't we just give like a heap of reliable, trustworthy and active enough people a moderator status. There doesn't seem to be like there are too many issues that go on here anymore other than the need to lock a thread or an annoying member every 6 months or so. This means that many people are able to just come on to the forums for like 5 minutes and fix things up quickly. Plus if the occasional spam attack happens or whatever, then it can also be fixed quickly.
This forum will never die in the next few years I'm sure, but it is coming to the end of its life. Even if any updates happen, I doubt there will be a massive increase of active members.
