We just had to practise putting a condom on a banana and were taught about sexual diseases, not very good. What was your experience?

I was given 'the talk' by my parents when I was 12-13. I'm homeschooled, and besides the talk, the curriculum I'm using didn't go into very much detail and didn't tell me anything more than I already knew or wanted to know.

I learned that there isn’t really a magic stork that delivers babies to peoples houses.
Other than that it was standard I guess. Don’t wanna go too into detail for obvious reasons.

In short: awful.
I honestly resigned from this lesson (it's optional in my country and you can resign from it at any time) as it was pretty much things most people will know if they don't live under a rock. I wish it was focusing more on psychological aspects of it instead of basics that an average person will most likely know already.

In grade 9 it was your typical thing I suppose. Like a week and a half long unit in Phys. Ed. class.
In grade 7 and 8 I was in Christian school so I learned the Christian version of it all. Basics on how stuff functions and what God had made things for, what's all a sin and so on. I remember learning that 'being gay is bad' in that class when stuff was brought up.

Shitty. Somehow despite living in a really liberal part of the country I was subjected to abstinence-only sex ed. Sure I learned about different types of birth control, but I didn't learn how to use any of it much less where I could get it (not even basic shit like putting on a condom), and children were given the option to opt out. Sex ed needs to be comprehensive and it needs to be mandatory. If you don't want your kid taking it then get the fuck out of the public school system. It's PROVEN to reduce teen pregnancies.

Honestly, I dropped from the sex education lessons because they were so boring and badly made that it wasn't worth my time lol. And I can actually kinda relate that, they didn't even mention certain really basic things that everyone should know. I agree that it should be mandatory, however first it needs teachers that actually have some knowledge about this topic and they don't spread misinformation or are biased towards one point of view.

The problem isn’t individual teachers in all cases. The problem is that people (mostly republicans) push for curriculums that don’t ALLOW you to teach that kind of stuff. The problem is systemic, not individual.

Lemme tell you a little something about Utahn sex-ed.
It's seriously the shittiest education you could get. There's so much misinformation and they outright lie to scare kids into not having sex.
The sex-ed here is a week of learning in 8th grade. The gist of it is "Don't have sex cause if you do, you'll get pregnant, or get an STD. The safest way to have sex is to not have sex at all. Also, it just so happens to be against the church to fuck before marriage so if you're religious, now you know that you go to hell for fuckin'." considering where I live is about 80% Mormon, well, yeah. It's extremely frustrating how corrupt the Utah education system is by the Mormon religion.

i never did learn if condoms are suggested for anal Unless you want your willie to get covered in shit, then yeah you might want one. You don’t need one per se, it’s just a little gross without one. Just make sure to replace it if you go back to ******l sex because you could give the girl an infection. Ot: Pretty damn hilarious. My super serious principal said boner and some other kid asked why semen tastes salty (boys and girls were separated, so yeah it was a guy who asked that). The material itself was pretty dry though. Just learned about how to do it, what condoms are, that condoms aren’t 100% effective, and a little bit on STIs. We didn’t learn how to roll on a condom though so be glad you were taught how. It’s pretty embarrassing attempting to wing it your first time and I’m pretty sure it went on inside-out.

I think mine was a mediocre week in Social Science which was I think a month ago
The gist of it was pretty much "Having unprotected sex may result in STD or AIDS" although "safe sex" with condoms and other methods to prevent pregnancy were supported.
I would honestly just abstain from having sex until either I'm willing to have children or when there are contraceptions which have a 100% assurance in preventing pregnancy whichever comes first
