You just sounded like the type of dude who the first thing he says when meeting someone is that they're atheist goddamnit this made me physically choke ot: this is my big boy chart. i'd personally put myself right smack in the middle because for most things i'm a dirty fence-sitting neutral-ass centrist personally thought the test was kinda fucking stupid tbh. it's clear that they were aiming to appeal to a wider, international audience by making the questions less focused on country-specific policies and more on wider concepts. which is fine in itself, but then they fuck themselves over by creating a very black-and-white answering format. if you're going for being more general, nuance with your questions, why the fuck would you prevent the respondent from giving nuanced responses and force them into a specific checkbox format? in making this test a more mainstream, convenient "complete in 15min" kind of test, i think the creators have unfortunately sacrified their original intent of nuance for blunt speed. and while it might still provide a decent approximation of someone's politicall standing point, i still think it's a damn waste.

Alright so here's the thing. This specific political compass test is honestly pretty terrible. I used to be a big proponent of the test and would say it worked but after looking at the questions a little more I realize that it's not likely to give you a good representation. Simply put, the test isn't specified nearly enough. The questions it asks are far too broad in scope and implication, and there's very little you can actually do to qualify your responses. For a quiz that's far more likely to represent your political views, I'd suggest looking at "I side with" ( www.isidewith.com/political-quiz). Yes, I realize that it's very heavily focused around American politics, but even THEN its questions are a lot better. Rather than have "yes" or "no" you can ask for "more stances", and if you're unsatisfied with the amount of questions you can ask for more in a specific field. Hell, you can even rank how important an issue actually is to you, so it can be properly weighted in the test. This test takes a whole lot longer, sure, but it's far more likely to be representative of your political affiliation (it basically gives you the same table at the end anyways). Also for those who don't know, going across is the economic scale, while going up and down is the social scale. But even then I decided to do it. these were my results: For comparison, this is where I was at last time I took the test: So a small shift left and a huge shift down. I don't think either of these really represents me well enough though, which is why I dislike this test now. More often than not I find it's used by people to say "SEE LOOK I'M A LIBERAL" before they go on to spout right-wing talking points. Maybe they're liberal overall when you take the average but have different right wing and left wing views. It's like taking the average of 5 and -5

Communists detected in American Soil. Lethal Force engaged. (Sorry for shitpost Fun fact I'm Canadian w o k e You don't have to worry about me being on American soil but I'm not exactly communist either. X to doubt Ot: www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=2.25&soc=-0.46 I’m on mobile so I can only link it ;-; Can’t say I’m surprised that it pegged me as leaning more to the right and more libertarian since my general political stance is apathy. The way some questions were phrased definitely skewed the results though and a neutral option would’ve been appreciated since there were some questions that I didn’t have a hard stance on either way.

Took yours and yeah it’s a way better way to gauge one’s political outlook. Would highly recommend. My results for anyone who cares www.isidewith.com/profile/3644014320/partiesAnd I’ll get around to it eventually maybe. I’ve been pulling nothing but overtime the last almost 2 months at work so I haven’t had time to do a whole lot lately.
