Hi everyone. I know the forum's been kind of slow lately and we want to take some action to try and breathe some life back into it.
First of all, we'd like to welcome some new moderators: BlazeD77, DubstepJoltik and headhonchkrow! These three members have been showing consistent activity and constructive posting for many months now, and we think they'd be great for a staff position. We'd also like to congratulate dragon48100 on receiving Administrator, thanks to his many months of solid staff work. Staff activity has been kind of low lately (I'm guilty of this) so we hope that with these new additions we'll be able to get things done more quickly.
To add onto that, the staff have decided to start running occasional events (creator contests, tournaments, etc.) to bring the community together a bit more. 2.2 is likely still a while away, but we can do our best to keep up activity until then. Due to the large nature of these events, they'll probably be held at a frequency around every other week or monthly. We may need other members to help us host these events, but more details will come out when the first one rolls around (stay posted).
The Support mod role has been lacking in use ever since the Game and Forum Support lost a lot of activity. As a result, the role no longer exists, as all of its existing members have been promoted to staff. Note that everyone is still encouraged to help out in the Support boards - the more people that are around to help, the better.
As a final note, just a reminder that the Report feature (works for members as well as posts) helps make our job as staff much easier. In regards to problems like spambots or trolls, reporting will bring attention to the staff as a whole immediately, where we can then decide on appropriate action. Thanks!
