The Guides section is a great way for people to offer up their knowledge to others in a relatively digestable fashion. It is definitely one of the most constructive sections on the forums because of its seriousness and informative nature. However, because of its relative distance from the top (which is what most people will solely look at), it seldom sees views and replies, and even fewer threads, which is a shame considering how much good and high quality information is contained within some of the guides. If it were to be pushed up to the main area of the forums, it will certainly see some more use and will allow the GDForums community to flourish a bit more. It is a very minor change, but I feel as though it would be an impactful one. |

Well the general section is the section for conversation and discussion, and the guides board doesn't really fit into that category. It fits well with Help and Support. And if people are looking for guides, they'll go there. I don't think moving it to the top will help much, as all the people who will see it won't necessarily have a use for it, and if they do, chances are it will be a very minimal change as most of the people who desperately need a guide will look for one.

I agree with the Guides board being moved up, but maybe not in the General board. The General board mainly consists of talking and discussion.
Maybe as a sub board in Personal or up the very top of the Help and Support section would be what I would do.

(At least until the staff give a proper answer as to whether or not this will happen) OT: While putting it in general isn’t the exact answer, I’m with repeater in the sense that guides should be moved higher up so that it can be more relevant and help more people. |
