This is aimed at those who have anything but 60Hz, but has played on 60Hz before. I want to ask you if you can shed some light on how the ship feels when you try to control it on higher refresh rates. The only logical conclusion that I can come to is that it might feel heavier and therefore give you more control over it.

It doesn't make it "heavier" or "lighter", it justs reduces the input delay

But how does it do that? When you use a higher refresh rate monitor, for it to work, at least on GD, you have to enable V-sync. Doesn't that option alone automatically increase input delay? I'm not too informed on this so if you could shed some light that would be great.

Vertical-sync simply tries to lock the game's internal framerate with the refresh rate of the monitor. Because of the way GD is coded, it doesn't go above that framerate to begin with, without using an FPS bypass. So, in theory, it doesn't increase input delay at all; rather, it decreases. I know what you're saying when you talk about a 'heavier ship' because I've experienced it myself, although I'm pretty sure this is a placebo effect and not a result of any increases in input delay.

Alright, I kind of understand now. Thanks for the input.

I can confirm that 144hz ships are heavier. I feed all of the 60hz ships with this special pill:

It doesn't make it "heavier" or "lighter", it justs reduces the input delay I used to use 60hz 1ms, and 144hz is way easier for straight fly. I don't know exactly how it works, but there are more frames giving you more control.
