Have you ever wanted to farm user coins and unlock 2.1 icons from a lot of user coin achievements? Today, I will tell you the best strategy I have found to get a lot of coins in a short amount of time!
First, search for star-rated Easy, Normal and Hard levels, and be sure to check the "Coins" filter if you don't want to manually search for levels with silver coins. 2-5 star levels generally have the easiest coins.
Find a level of your choice. It can be one you've never played, or if you want to go back and get the remaining coins on a level you have already beaten.
Optionally, play and/or complete the level in practice mode to figure out what you need to do to get the coin, or to determine coin locations. This goes especially for 2.0/2.1 levels, as you need to collect a key/token(s) to "unlock" the "gate" that leads to the coin.
Watching gameplay is another way you can know coin locations. That way, you will know what to do to get the coins, and, as stated above, you can also use practice mode.
Then, play the level in normal mode, and collect the coins. You do NOT have to get all the coins on the same attempt! If I beat it and don't have all the coins, usually I replay the level until I have all the coins. This can be useful so you don't have to come back to get the remaining coins at a later date, and so you don't run out of levels to get coins on.
With this guide, you can also farm stars, but not as many stars as if you farm demons, or 4-8 star levels.
Personally, this guide worked for me. I got 350+ user coins using this tactic, and if you have a lot of "official" coins from main levels and map packs, getting user coins is, a lot of times, easier. Update 2.1 added achievements for 225 user coins all the way up to 1000, and 2.0 only had achievements up to 200 UCs. You can also earn a lot of icons with this guide thanks to 2.1!
