im not sure how many people know about this maybe everyone and this thread is useless but if you have an nvidia control panel if you right click on your desktop then click nvidia control panel and go to change resolution click on customize below all the resolution options if it's grayed out then just click cancel on the bottom right, after you click customize click create custom resolution and you can change the refresh rate on the left near the top (WARNING: don't do a huge jump to something like 120hz go by 5hz or 10hz each time you increase it when i changed it to 120hz it started to glitch out lol) im not sure how to do it for AMD you can post below and ill add it (note: also for me anyway i had to make geometry dash windowed for the game to be the refresh rate you set your display to be)

Yes, this thread is pointless.
And to my knowledge, you can do that with other graphics cards too.
I know that it's obvious, but you can't go more than your monitor can, for an example, if your monitor limit is 60 hz, there's no way that you could ge 144 hz on that monitor. And using ToastyX's resolution editing tool won't be successful too. Monitors don't simply work that way, and making huge jumps (like 75 hz -> 120 hz) won't cause any problems.
In my opinion, this tutorial is bullshit, and it shouldn't get approved.

wait did you even try the guide? if you want i can make a proof video and for a 60hz monitor you can still make it a higher than 60hz but no where near 144hz my monitor started to act a bit glitchy at 95hz

I've got a 60hz monitor, but I can go up to 75hz. And yes, it actually does impact the game.  |

I've got a 60hz monitor, but I can go up to 75hz. And yes, it actually does impact the game. What monitor do you use? |

You see, if your monitor is "60 hz", then it doesn't have enough capabilities to run such high refresh rate (I think some can run 66 hz). Probably, your monitor isn't 60 hz, and you just don't know it well. Also, monitors are different, just because you bugged yours to run at 95 hz, doesn't mean it will go well for others. And your guide is unorganized and messy. |

The game behaves differently when running on high frequencies (Hz). Just because your monitor doesn't support it, the effects can still be beneficial to the player. |
