Only really for demons do I die at the end of the level (but it's really annoying). But when I do, it's usually around 92-95%. My worst percentage fail is 97% on sidestep.

Of course. You're just as likely to die at the end of a level as you are anywhere else. The only reason people care is because they know they would've likely would've beaten it if they didn't screw up. Anywhere else, people still know there are many other ways they would've died later. Nothing really special about it.
