I have an announcement...
We have a problem. There are 8 pages of threads in the judging panel, and it doesn't look like it's stopping there. Do you know how much levels that is? We're talking about 350-400 levels here, and still counting. I and many other judges make extremely long and detailed reviews usually, so it's hard for us to help out here: I for example have a lot of things to do at school as well, and since 1 review for me takes 60-90 minutes, it's pretty tiring. I'm pretty sure that if you ask the other judges, they will also come up with an excuse similar to this one.
Now to the actual point: We need to cut down on the threads, we need to go back to at least 2 pages or so, 8 pages are completely overwhelming and certain threads have been waiting for at least 4 months. It's rediculous and unfair: Both for the judges, and for the people who wants their levels judged.
As much as some of us like to give long in-depth constructive feedback on levels, we think it's time to cut off a bit. What I'm saying is: You need to expect a little shorter reviews from the judges from now on, so we can be able to clean up this mess. Now short reviews does not mean bad reviews. A short review can still be good, and a review, whether if it is short or not, is expected to give constructive criticism to the creator, and to give a summary/opinion on what the judge liked/disliked about the level. You can say a lot with few words.
A short review is not necessarily one sentence per category, but we don't recommend doing what for example I usually did to do a part-by-part review, because that will take ages to clean up the panel.
And now one of the most important thing we wanted to say: NON-JUDGES ARE HAPPILY WELCOMED TO HELP OUT! If we approve your review we can still move the thread to it's respective category, and it also boosts your chance of becoming a level judge!
TL;DR Because of the overwhelming amount of threads in the judging panel you may expect shorter reviews from the judges for a little while until the panel is more cleaned up. Non-judges are very welcomed to help us out: That will make the job faster done!
