Hi, today I'll be showing you how to beat Stereo Madness in detail!
(Yes I know this is quite pointless for most people, but I'm bored...and also, it is just for increasing my post count ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))
Stereo Madness is the easiest official level in the game, this level is recommended for beginners who just started playing the game.
Firstly, Stereo Madness can be divided into four parts: The first cube part (0-29%), the ship-cube part (30-57%), the second (red) cube part (58-85%), and finally, the final ship part (86%-100%).
0-29%
First is, we need to understand how the cube works.
To make the cube jump, you must simply tap on the screen (mobile), or press the space/up/mouse button (PC).
We will call tapping on the screen or pressing a button the jump button.
Spikes will kill you once you touch it, so you must avoid them.
To jump over the first spike, you must press the jump button on some distance away from the spike as shown in the image. Jumping at around 1 block away from the spike is the best way to jump.
For the next set of spikes, they are slightly harder, but they are just easy. Just as before, just jump right before the spikes.
Whenever you see spikes, you must just over them.
Now, we have the blocks. Blocks are harmless when you touch the upper part, but when you touch the sides, then you will crash. You can jump over blocks as they will serve as platforms.
To jump on these, just jump before the blocks just enough to get on top of them.
After you get on the first block, you must jump to the second, and so on.
*Note: Sometimes it is easier to hold when jumping on consecutive block structures like these. This trick is useful especially for 47%-57%.
Following these directions carefully will lead you to the next step.
We have a new kind of obstacle, which is the platform gap.
To get across this, just jump over it.
Now you should be able to continue going across the other obstacles.
In some cases, there are places where you shouldn't jump, such as this one. You have to drop down under the spike platform.
And finally,
When going up, in the fifth platform, there is actually a spike. Make sure you remember that and avoid it!
If you followed these directions correctly, you will go to the next part of the level.
30-57% (1st Coin)
Now to introduce you to the new mechanic of the game. The ship!
The ship portal is colored purple. When you enter this portal, your cube will be transformed into a ship.
To control this ship, you must hold the jump button to go up, and release to go down.
The ship may seem hard to control at first, but it will be easier once you improve.
So far, this ship sequence is just easy, no neccesary tips are needed for this part.
Just safely manuever across the ship part and you'll get to the next part.
The end of the ship part is marked by the green portal. The green portal transforms you back into a cube.
Now, this part contains lots of consecutive jumping, so you need to use the trick used earlier.
For the first round of jumping, you need to jump exactly 4 times. If you jump too much, you'll hit the spikes at the top
*Coin:
Instead of jumping 4 times, you must jump 2 or 3 times. Doing this will lead you under the platforms and to the coin.
Once you've got past through the first set of jumps, you have the second set.
You need to jump at least 7 times for this.
After you've jumped successfully, you can climb down the "staircase".
Now be careful at this part, there are gaps that are too wide that you could fall through! You must jump across them.
58%-85% (2nd Coin)
Congratulations! You have now reached the hardest part of the level.
Just use the tips and tricks said as before and you will be able to get pass this part.
You will encounter the most difficult obstacle in the game:
This well-known obstacle is called the "triple spike". This requires some difficult timing, so you must focus on this. You must jump close to the spike, but not to close, refer to the image. There are two of these obstacles in the level, so be aware of that!
*Coin:
The coin is somewhere around 74%. You must jump above the floating blocks to get to the coin's path. Don't forget to jump over the spike at the last block.
If you pass through this part safely, you will reach the final part of the level.
86%-100% (3rd Coin)
This is the final part of the level, it is a ship part. You need to be used to the controls of the ship when getting past this part.
Make sure not to touch the floor or the ceiling, they have thorns and they will kill you.
Getting past through this part will make you complete the level!
Congratulations, you have now beaten the first and easiest official level in the game!
Remember, this is just the beginning of your journey to being the master of Geometry Dash.
*Coin:
To get to the coin route, you must fly up to the small gap shown, there, you will enter a hidden ship portal.
From there, you need to fly across the obstacles until you reach the end of the level, collecting the coin.
Thank you for reading this tutorial! I hope you liked it.
I might make this tutorial for other levels as well if I have time.
I want to hear comments and suggestions from you, just post theme here.
