Part of the reason why the fake verified tags were censored is that it could be confusing for new members. It seems obvious now but I'm pretty sure if you were a new member, you would wonder why there were 4 different verified tags and which one was the real one.
Edit: I also changed the censors a bit so the square root will (hopefully) not be censored when it's used as a mathematical symbol in a post.
Edit: It only works with numbers so if you do sqrt(x+y) the square root will still get censored, unfortunately :/

To add something, some old members like me also get confused with the check marks, the first thing this happened, I was really confused on what was the real verified tag and what is not. |

I guess I'm just going to repeat this another time:
Make it so that the checkmarks and square root symbols are only censored in the username, not when in posts and stuff. People still use it in their posts.
Or even better, remove verified tag altogether. Its just a simple tag, its not going to harm anybody. Its better than preventing everyone from making a checklist or a math thread. Isn't impersonating someone else against the rules already? What's the purpose of the verified tag if that's so?
Also, we already have the check image beside the username, not a symbol, people can identify which is which easily...
Maybe make it a rule so that people should not add checkmarks on their username?

You guys brought this upon yourselves. I was the one that censored the square root symbol. You can't just go around pretending to be funny doing something like that. I don't care if people "can't do math", it's all your doings and you should look at yourselves before doing a stupid thing like that.
