Hello everyone  . So, the speedbuild event I hosted a couple days ago was a great succes (I really enjoyed it  ), and I finished adding all parts together now. (link to the event for more info: (please dont necro though) gdforum.freeforums.net/thread/32651/event-speedbuilding) Sadly, one part is missing because of unexpected stuff that made a participant not able to attend. I liked hosting this so much that I will probably host this more often, so keep an eye out for that  Also, please dont take the yellow text messages into consideration with judgin (the coins and timelink's name). The poll will be visible and locked in 1 week (so 29 august), the results arent visible untill then to prevent smart voting. In the mean time, all participants can pretty up their parts so the winner of this event has a great level to upload ! EDIT: quite amazed with the results of just 2.5 hours of intense building! I rally had a hard time choosing, there were especially 3 parts really close to each other. -Flashmick, some great detail and very well synced flashes and even the effect on the background -Lev with some awesome pixelish design, which also was very fun to play -Lax part, which had a very nice design too, looked quite original and smooth to me and besides is one of the best parts in the level gameplaywise (in my opinion) I chose Lax' part because I think gameplay is about equally as important as design at the end, and lax did very good at both |

but Lev's Part had kewl gameplay and design
Lax's part was too hard and empty in most parts

I really like Yaserov's section (although a little annoying). Great gameplay sync and interesting design.

Sorry I couldn't participate, me and my family were on the road, and they wanted it to be "electronics-free" (so what if I play every other 18 hours nonstop? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). I can re-build if you want.

I wanna help, so I'll give you my thoughts on all the parts: Cursebolt - Not very good, sorry. It's pretty empty and relies too much on the background. Block choice isn't good either :/ Haastregt - It's alright I guess, but I don't like how the blocks are detached on the wave parts. Fruitsnack - I really like the gameplay. Design isn't bad either. Grandtouring3 - Same problem with Cursebolt's part, too empty without the custom background. MM2x2 - Blending ;__; Fluffy - I like the 1.9 style, but needs more deco. Flashmick72 - Kreygasm Timelink - Way too much blue, to the point where you can barely tell the decorations apart from the background. GDLev - Very unique, but it doesn't fit the rest of the level. Rexone - The moving objects stand out too much from everything else. Yasarov - I really like the design style. Reminds me of Takeoff in a way. Lax - The ship part is nice, but the cube has way too much copypaste. WillFlame - Feels very rushed :L Overall, I'd say Flashmick's part is the best  |

I didn't know that But still, you can kinda look at your part and tell it doesn't fit with everyone else's. That doesn't necessarily mean your part is bad, though. WillFlame - Feels very rushed :L Exactly my thoughts; this was my first time speedbuilding and I totally overworked the ship section, leaving almost no time for the others. I literally realized I only had 10 minutes left when I had just finished the ball section, so everything after was mass copy/paste and random things. Thanks though |
