I'm late; I remember seeing this thread and thinking of posting something but I guess I never got around to it.
THE COUNT TRIGGER WAS MY IDEA or at least I had the same idea
But the thing was, I never wanted to post it anywhere because I was afraid it would catch on quickly and RobTop would implement it in the next update. Which is already happening, even though (I'm pretty sure) I kept my virtual mouth shut.
I can clearly foresee a level where you have to collect a certain amount of random keys randomly placed throughout a level to either: get a user coin or pass the level. And you can't get all of them, since that would be too many. And you can't just pick and choose which ones you want to get, because some have toggle triggers. AND WHY IS THIS NECESSARY AGAIN

What do you mean? Are you sure you know what it does exactly (it controls animated objects (like monsters) to behave in a certain way)

The count trigger is a good idea. You can mimic this trigger easily using toggle triggers, and make it so that if you don't get the first key for example, it toggles the next one off. Let's say you have 5 keys and need only 3. Put 3 toggle triggers on each key, and each time you collect a key, it would toggle the next set of triggers, which in this case, is 2. But you would have to make it toggle a toggle trigger about 5 blocks in front which would trigger 2 afterwards. But perhaps this will make it easier.
The touch trigger is a good idea, because you can make some pretty good gameplay ideas, like a loading bar, for example: You need to hold it for a specific period of time, or it restarts. But you can always make the same idea with a wave, or ship, and make it fly up and up using extra portals, until you reach "100%".
The animation trigger sounds like a nice touch, because it can come in handy for making stuff move to the beat of the song.
Now, I'm pretty sure RobTop also said something about a Rotate trigger. I don't know if there will be a timeline where you manually rotate it to a place, or if it's just like a move trigger, where you rotate in degrees, but this seems good.
Wasn't there also a scale trigger?
