Yeeeeeeah.
Bloodbath, the former #1 demon and, for a long time, unbeaten by anyone other than Riot, has at last fallen down to #51 on the demons list, therefore not being counted at one of the "big 50".
Give this some thought. A level that stood unchallenged on the very top for over a year, undefeated for over a year after it's release. A level, still renowned to this day for being insanely hard for 60hz players due to insane amounts of straight flying. A level so hard that it skyrocketed the careers of Surv and Quasar.
A level that by itself inspired the creation of Yatagarasu and Bloodlust.
i suck at dramatic intros jesus lmfao
Bloodbath was released in 2015, after over 25 000 attempts by Riot. This was during a period when RobTroll actually interacted with the community, as both him and Michigun was encouraging Riot to go on.
This level is a record breaker in may ways, holding records for being the demon with the longest Top 50 tenure, spanning over 40 months in the general main list. That's over three years! Bloodbath is also the most downloaded extreme demon of all time, with over seven million downloads. For scale, I live in Norway, we have a population of 5 million, so this level has more downloads than my country has people living in it.
Bloodbath has spawned a lot of controversy - and fun - surrounding it. From difficulty debates regarding BB and Sakupen Hell, hacking scandals with TacoMacho and Anaban, to more hilarious things such as Dual Kiki (former Blade of Justice verifier) dubbing it an "easy demon" after beating the level 4 times in 3 days, the Sunix recolors, Invisibath, Bloodlust, Yatagarasu and, of course, "blood bathub hard v", the slightly planned buffdate by Riot. This level has a rich history and will undoubtingly go down in GD history as one of the biggest and most influential levels of all time.
Now, I'm just.. shocked. I started playing GD actively in 2015, and I remember being amazed on how insanely hard this level was. 3 years later, and I'mstill here with you shitheads still here to witness this honestly shocking event.
I have nothing more to say, except that you could check the level out. The ID is 10565740
