Whenever someone reports a post, I wish the reporting member can be notified if/what action was taken by the staff against the problem member (%warn, etc.)

he might delete the post as soon as it gets reported allowing him to potentially evade warnings
ok im illiterate so i read reporting as reported, my bad
anyway this sounds like a decent idea, although i'm not entirely sure what purpose it'll serve in the long run

he might delete the post as soon as it gets reported allowing him to potentially evade warnings As soon as a post gets reported, we are able to see it in the report log, regardless of whether or not it was deleted. Also I think you misunderstood reporting member from reported member. Cyclicle is suggesting that the reporting member (the member who reported the post) knows that an action was taken. OT: I don't know if this is possible to do without some sort of plugin. The admin control panel was designed by proboards, not us, so there'd have to be some sort of plugin to enable the reporting member being able to see if action was taken. Even if there were a way, I don't really think it's necessary.

This...is an interesting idea for sure. I think it would be good if the reporting member were notified if action was taken at all at the very least, but I'm not sure how far it could go beyond that. Going so far as to reveal what action was taken, be it a PM, a warning or even a ban, I feel like this might cut too much into the privacy of the reported member. They should have a right to keep such things secret despite their wrongdoing, if action was taken at all. You did bring up a very interesting thought though, and I think this might be neat to implement so that the reporting member atleast knows whether or not their report was valid and it would be neat to have if it's possible with ProBoards at all, in my opinion.
