I sometimes like to go to Forum Support to help someone if they have a problem. However, it's pretty hard to tell if someone has a new thread or not, because this thread always seems to be marked as "Unread/New" for me, even when there's no new threads or replies. I tried permanently marking the announcements as (forever) read, but that didn't work (The "Ask Simple Questions Here" thread was getting replies daily, so I thought that might have been the problem. Wasn't). I also thought marking the board as read without actually reading it would work...also didn't.
Ah, I figured it out. It was the Custom Title Request thread.

I think it's the forum request thing that is making forum support go off. If you want to mute that, then you may get less notifications.
Also idk if you're allowed to mute announcements since they're more important.

It might be some staff/support mods replying to old threads and moving them to different boards inside.

Update: Still having the same problem, but now it's also happening with the Forum News board, which hasn't been updated in a while.
So I'm probably going to try to set up a system, since what Whaley did with the bookmarks can't work with me because...then all threads would have to be deleted in that board. I'm going to try and set up a system. All I need is just to find out the intervals of time when the boards become marked as unread.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to live with the New symbol next to it lol Gonna move this to Resolved now
