Have you exprienced a terrible move glitch and accidentally saved over it? Or maybe you accidentally deleted your level that you have worked on for years?
Don't worry, there is actually a solution for that! This works for PC and Mobile too if you have access to the directory files.
1. After the incident, just exit the game normally and do NOT open your Geometry Dash yet. 2. Go to your Geometry Dash directory folder. 3. You should see these files: - CCLocalLevels.dat - CCGameManager.dat - CCLocalLevels.dat.bak - CCGameManager.dat.bak 4. Remove or move the CCLocalLevels.dat and CCGameManager.dat files somewhere else. 5. For the remaining two files, remove the .bak at the end. 6. Open your Geometry Dash again. 7. And there, you should see your previous save you made, as if you haven't played Geometry Dash the last time.
I hope this helped you, but if your problem hasn't been fixed, I guess there is no way else to fix the problem.

So, .bak files are the previous save data backups before I save the data last time?
But the CCGameManager.dat.bak & CCLocalLevels.dat.bak are incredibly small (only ~1Mb size of each of those .bak files). And my .dat files have a huge size (about 15Mb each). I know it's still dependant on how many levels you've beaten and how many levels you've downloaded. I'm not sure if .bak files are able to store the save data properly...

Then I don't know, my .bak files are roughly the same size as my .dat files.

How do you go to your directory folder on mobile? You need to be rooted/jailbroken. Look up how to root/jailbreak your device if you're not sure

BTW for Mac users: - Go to the Library folder by clicking Go in the menu bar, hold the option key & clicking Library.
- Open the Application Support folder.
- Find a folder called GeometryDash & click it.
- Copy the CCGameManager.dat & CCLocalLevels.dat files & paste them somewhere else.
P.S: There's no .bak files in OS X. So you better copy the files for safety

Hi P1kachu,
This morning I was having trouble with GD and logged out somehow I saved when it showed I had zero progress. I have lost everything! I see your thread below with directions on how to the directory folder, but I play on my I-pad, and am not sure how to access this. I want to go back to my last save so I can regain all of my progress! Any advice? Thanks, LastTry
