So...a lot of you guys are about to/have started school already...what do you think of it? Do you love school because you can make new friends and learn new things, or do you think it's a torture chamber that you're trying to escape? Are you happy in school or are you WISH WE COULD TURN BACK TIME TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS stressed out?
Personally, I loved school until about 8th grade. After that is when they started throwing the Common Core* stuff at us. Now it's way too stressful :/ Also, I'm going into 11th grade, which is the most stressful year of them all. Now I have to start taking a bunch of state tests and getting recommendation letters and applying to colleges, not to mention that most of my classes (AP Language and Composition, Honors Physics, Algebra II) are really hard. I already have a summer assignment for APLAC that's due on the first day of school, and it consists of:
- 2 essays
- A bullet list
- A packet of guidelines that's about 20 pages
- 150 words that we have to memorize, and we're gonna be quizzed on them every week
Sooo yeah. School doesn't start until September for me, but it feels year-round because of these huge summer assignments. I'm not looking forward to this year at all ;A;
But thankfully, after that year is 12th grade (or senior year) which is a total cakewalk 8)

I really hated 8th grade but after I realized I can't escape, i started to like school

First you got the fact that the classes are really early in the morning. I mean that you have to wake up at 5 in the morning. There are also the ***hole classmates criticizing you for every little flaw when they can't do s*** themselves. You then have the endless pile of useless and/or repetitive projects cough Science Investigatory Project cough. Most lessons are pretty useless like learning how to make a perfect haiku or something. Finally, it distracts me from being good at the games I play.
