Alright, so I´ve played the Level now, and I disagree a bit with Ziel. I definetely think it´s still star-worthy/good, even by todays 2.0 Standards, but imo it isn´t feature-worthy anymore, as there are - even for a 1.9 Level - some Aspects that really bother me.
General Things to be said about the Level: Ok, so, first off, I really like your Design Style. It´s unique, fresh and nice to look at. I don´t, however, quite understand why Ziel praised your Gameplay so much. I mean, for the most Part it´s good and fun, but especially some Things in the Cube Parts annoyed me a bit.
First Cube Part:
This Part, overall seems a little messy. Sure, it looks nice but the Gameplay is a bit confusing, and some Jumps catch you off-guard. After what Ziel said, I expected something...different than this, I guess. On your first Time playing I got very confused with the Gravity Switches, and some of the Jumps are quite unforgiving. But well, the Deco looked very nice and I like how you used different Shades of blue on everything. It could have needed some more Variations though.
First Ball:
The only Flaw I really noticed in this Part, was the small Lack of a bit of Deco. You could have added something to fill up the empty Spaces, and varied your Block Designs a bit more. After a while, it´s basically just all looks the same. Anyway, here the Gameplay was more fun and you could see everything coming in Time which was nice. And while pretty short, the Part was fun too.
First Ship:
Eh, well, the Gameplay tbh was pretty boring here. All this Part really was was some Saws, some Pillars, and not too much more. It felt kinda empty again. Also, the Thorns didn´t really match the Atmosphere of this very light and bright Part, they were just kinda dimming it down. Not too much to say here otherwise, this wasn´t really anything special.
Second Cube:
The Tone of Colour you gave everything here made it feel nice, like the Palette felt nice, but one Thing here really upset me. The "Troll Secret Way" you left in, which kills you at the very last Second, was really annoying to deal with. Like, when you accidentally fall down there, it takes
ages until you die. And especially when you do it in Practice Mode, where you first have to undo all of your Checkpoints it´s really annoying. You could have just killed the Player atleast somewhat earlier, to make it obvious it was a Troll. About the Rest, the Gameplay was pretty unpredictable, like in the first Part, but the Design was nice again. It finally felt different from the Rest of the Level.
First UFO:
Basically the same as, well, the entire Rest of the Level. It bothers me that like every Part this far looks nearly exactly the same, with small Variations. It just gets boring after a While. This was basically exactly the same as the Ship Part, not adding anything here.
First Wave:
Finally, some Proper Variation. This Part actually looked good, and had some pretty nice Gameplay again, but I feel like the Gravity Portal here makes it more difficult, compared to the Rest of the Level. Very nice aside from that though, the Design was pretty uinique actually.
Second Ship:
Welp, we back at the Design again. I won´t complain about this any further, since it´s really not a huge Deal and you probably wanted to keep a certain Style throughout the Level, but it just kinda bothers me. Anyway, the Gameplay of this Part was pretty...well, boring, really. It kinda felt like Cycles´ Ship Part with less Copy + Paste. Overall, this Part could have needed more Deco though, besides the Pillars there´s really nothing else there.
Second Ball:
Interesting Colour Switches here, it atleast makes the Part feel more alive. And while the Gameplay here is basically only Orb-Spamming, it still was pretty fun. One small Issue though, the one yellow Orb basically cannot be seen due to the Palette at that Point, and thus you´re almost guaranteed to die atleast once at that Point.
Last Cube:
A nice Way to finish off the Level, simple and fun. Not too much left to say here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gameplay: 7.9/10 Not bad, but not too good or outstanding either. I mentioned the imo biggest Flaws above, and well, for the most Part it just wasn´t anything special.
Music Sync: 9.1/10 This was the Part that you had very well done. I didn´t mention this anywhere above, but the Music Sync was abosulutely beatiful. It could have been better at a few Points, like the the Gameplay could have synced more, and you could have done more with the Objects, but this was really amazing.
Design and Deco: 7.4/10 Welp, like mentioned above, in some Parts Deco was missing a bit, and in others it was basically just the same over and over again. Generally, it was okay though.
Other Things: 7/10 There are some Things here that just put me away from putting this to FW, spread throughout the Level. If you read the Review, you probably know what all I´m referring to by now. It´s mostly small Things, but it adds up. Plus the Fact that this is just a 1.9 Level, I don´t really think it meets the Standards of todays Feature-Worthy Page anymore. (The In-Game one)
Creativity: x0.95 Really, most Things here have been seen before, and some Concepts were nice, but not too well executed, like the Second Ship. So, overall Decrease of Points.
Score: 31.005/48 or 7.75125/12, 4 or 5 . Imo belongs to good/star-worthy, but since Ziel´s Review seems to quite disagree with me, I´ll let the next Judge decide where this goes.
