tl;dr: new stuff
Hello Geometry Dashers, today I am going to be analyzing the 2.1 sneak peek that just came out today by Robtopgames.
Here is a link to the video:

First off, right when you start the video, you see a new icon, ground and background. There is also a new thing in Geometry Dash, signs! I believe that there will just be signs with some designs, but possibly, but unlikely, maybe you can draw whatever you want.
Continuing the video at 0:03, you see a new block type. This is similar to the ground in the level and you can add grass into it. There is also lava, signs, and I believe new spikes (but they could be the tiny spikes that we already have in 2.0 rotated.) that have new particles over it. Also, there are torches and there are black faded rocks behind it, so that is a new deco.I believe that there is also a new saw as it has holes near the center and a circle in the middle.
(EDIT:
thank you LaX for telling me this!)
Moving later on at 0:04, if you look closely there are rocks in the magma, so that could be a new decoration.
At 0:05,
There appears to be a new orb! It is black and has trace lines over it similar to the green orb. (Thanks Muzik Bike <3) (I'm not really sure what it does, as it seems to just be the blue orb, so maybe if you can tell me how it is different I can edit this part of the post. EDIT:
Thank you Silmaril for telling me! Also, throughout the video the orbs glow, maybe it is a design change or maybe you could disable or enable the glow.
There is a new fountain and the lava below is higher than usual, making me believe that it is actually something deadly.I changed my mind, I don't think that lava is deadly since it has spikes on top and below it. However, who knows? I can be wrong.
At the starting point of 0:07, there appears to be a glitchy dragon. The lore of Geometry Dash is unfolding, and the dragons are taking over GD. It will continue to unfold in later updates.
Thank you Safyire for pointing that out!) Above the dragon, there is a fireball, so it turns out that it can be separated and moved by itself.
At 0:07, you can see that there is a fire animation. There is also a little animation above one of those lights.
Oh boy, 0:08.
There is a new deadly thing, the electric zappers. There is also a play button, which I believe replaces the blue and orange portal tunnels you sometimes see in levels. Whenever you use this play button, the rumored particle is on your character. I believe that when you build the play button, you can set how long it could last, and it shows this because of the lines. (EDIT:
...Rob also said the "play buttons" (dash orbs?) will work horizontally for as long as you HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN. I don't know if there will be a limit but this could make for some interesting gameplayThank you Glaceon for pointing this out!
At 0:09, there is a new trigger that shakes the entire screen. You can see that it doesn't just shake the blocks but the ground as well.
There are also new blocks that look like rocks. The outside of the rocks are solid, but I think that the rocks on the inside you can go through. That could just be that RobTop used a different color for the rocks, however. The pulse trigger works on these blocks as well.
At 0:10, you can see in the blue orb that there is a new decoration that looks kind of like a shining light. There is also a new chain.
At 0:18, you have the red pad which I think is just a version of the yellow orb but it goes higher. There is also the monster you probably saw before in the Fireballs video. It shoots fireballs whenever you allow it to, and there is also another particle effect while he shoots it.
At 0:19, there are blocks or deco where you can make it look like they are floating. The fountain from before I believe has a middle block, and an edge block, which means that you can make it as wide and long as you want. (Also, I believe there is a new move type when the lava rises and flows, but I could be wrong. Please tell me)
EDIT: There are also red play buttons which I forgot to mention!Thank you Glaceon for telling me this!
There is a new block at 0:23 that I believe has flames coming from the bottom of it.
0:25
Nothing that I haven't already said has really happened at 0:27 - 0:35
0:35 Spider mode! With this you can teleport to the other platform above or below you in the opposite gravity. It is sort of like the ball mode but with teleporters at the end of each platform.
That's all I have for this analysis, I will be adding pictures soon, please tell me if I missed anything or if you want to add something to the post.
Also if you repost this anywhere on the internet please credit me as Th31 or put a link to this thread!!!

The black orb stunts your current momentum and makes you fall as if you had never jumped, like a blue orb that doesn't reverse the gravity

The "glitchy dragon" is probably the cause of the new Animation Trigger that RobTop mentioned at one point.

Well you are forgetting the red version of the "play button", that appears twice. it flips your gravity.
