I'm considering getting Linux for my crappy Windows 8 laptop with no touchscreen, but I want to know if there is Linux support for GD before I try it.
If not, RobTopGames is there any chance you could work on it (after meltdown ofc)?

No, GD doesn't work on Linux.But he did said he might make a Linux port in the future.

Afaik, the only way you could play GD on Linux is by using an emulator.

And what about downgrading to Windows 7?

I know this is a really old thread, but I'm going to post this here for anyone that may come along.
GD will run on linux if you use WINE.
You may have to install Steam in WINE to make it work.
But you may be able to install the linux version of the Steam client and just have GD specifically run through WINE.
I honestly don't know because I ahven't tested the Steam version, only Private Servers.
And they run very well in WINE.
I didn't run in to any of the graphical issues I have on Windows.
I plan to thoroughly test this soon.
Will post the results then.

I don’t think anyone’s gonna come along, this hasn’t been used for awhile (like three years). CreativeGuy lock for necropost?
