Has there ever been mention from Rob or anyone else in the community about updating the way the game renders graphics? Afaik the game currently only uses one core of your CPU, leading to even decent CPUs lagging on object heavy levels, or in certain cases not being able to load the level at all. Is this something he's aware of or addressing in the future? Just curious.

wait, only 1 core of the CPU? does it even use the GPU at all??? that might explain why the game is so unoptimized

wait, only 1 core of the CPU? does it even use the GPU at all??? that might explain why the game is so unoptimized exactly, my guess is that since cocos2dx was developed to be cross platform and robtop just ported the game from mobile to steam, he did not take into account what pc's are capable of, comparitavely. it does make sense in a way that the game only runs on a single core as mobile devices either don't have much processing power or should be economical on the device's battery, and since performance seems pretty adequate right now, even on pc, it didn't matter at the time. however, that does not mean there isn't a lot to gain, especially since the new features from 2.0 onward have required a lot more processing power, and mobile phones have become increasingly powerful and have had longer lasting batteries. really hope he takes a look at this before the release of 2.2.
