hey guys, its me. i became a great deal less stupid over time, im far less dumb as i used to be. but to the point! im going to share my top 10 best and top 10 least favorite creators of which are popular/famous. feel free to share your own top 10 or criticize my list. i have a decent amount of backup to where i put people on here, so feel free to ask me anything about it! here we go:
Least:
10. God of Music: just kinda mediocre, has improved a bit since this time, but still not a very good creator in my opinion, due to the full levels of gd world levels being added into gauntlets, of where usually levels of subpar decoration and lacking gameplay exist. this, in my opinion, shows unoriginality, where originality is a main thing in creation to me.
9. Geoslam1: Very empty decoration, simmilar to what God of Music does, except more empty, take for example, his part in anubis. it is quite empty and though it does blend decently, i do not think it makes up for his underdecorated and generic levels. moreover, his gameplay is nothing special.
8. Endlevel: it may be an odd choice, but i feel that him milking nine circles levels with a very little varying decoration choice is not the best way to build in my opinion. besides this, i am not a fan of his overall decoration, as i beleive it is too dark, and needs more color. an example of this is cognition, where it is very hard to see much color at all, and it makes his levels not stand out to me. his gameplay, though, is overall moderate in my opinion.
7. JonathanGD: another “bad” choice, i beleive he leans too much on his trademark “rainbow duals.” these are very unfun in my opinion, and can hurt the player’s eyes. the last jumps can be obnoxious and very irritating to die at, though the death screens there can pay me a laugh sometimes. besides this rainbow part of which i dislike a lot, overall he is a good atmosphere creator, yet his gameplay is far too inconsistent to me.
6. Pauze: overall a lacking generic creator, though he has a very high status among moderators. i can respect him for this, but i beleive his creations are quite subpar, being the proud owner of extremely boring gameplay, and empty and ugly decoration. moreover, his colors are very bright, also possibly painful to watch for a player who could have sensitive eyes, and to me it seems to be power to the players.
5. ExtraCrispyCroc: Does not bring anything new to the table, more like a speedrunner for grabbing as much creator points as possible in as short as possible. they seem to do well at this, with very low amounts of decoration, and overusing modern decoration. colors are overall average, and gameplay is also nothing special. the same thing happens with YuNhaSeU14, except he tries to make overall decent to good levels, and is an efficient creator, being able to add nice effects to his simple levels in order to please the eyes of the player.
4. AuSk: has far too high standards for others and seems to act like a minimod, yet he abuses modern and adds next to nothing original to his levels, which is why i find him to be not special as a creator. his colors are okay, but his gameplay is not the best either. overall not my favorite creator at all. though he does create his own music for levels, which i will give credit to him for.
3. Dorami: far better player than creator, though overrated in the community as well a bit. but this is for creating. besides his collabs, his levels are either generic or empty, rarely having a difference. his levels for their time (for 2.1 to 2.11 players who did not witness his earlier works) for their time they were like generic or modern for today. you all know how i feel about modern, and i strongly dislike modern. overall, good player, not a very good creator.
2. Torch121: Emptiest deco ever. Very painful to look at his deco and not cringe. his decoration is so generic, his gameplay is absolutely atrocious, and his color usage is absolutely terrible. it is truly a pain to look at what he had created, without any originality whatsoever, awful gameplay, bad deco, bad colors, next to no sync, just eww...
1. SciPred: Though he has no cp, just so bad. original, but no gameplay, abuse of triggers (and the youtube algorithm ffs,) dumb creations with next to no use, only makes layouts, can’t deco whatsoever, and just overall is painful too look at what he makes each day.
Okay, so there is top 10 least favorite creators, now on to my top 10 most favorite creators. i have some odd choices, some nobody in their right mind would even consider, and just some creators nobody ever talk about.
10. ChaSe: Though his gameplay is overall bad and unbalanced, just look at his decoration. it is always ahead of its time, it has fantastic pulse usage, well used move and alpha triggers, smooth transitions and rotations, fantastically blending colors, and great usage of other triggers. usage of blocks is well varied, has a great amount of decoration, and i can back this up with his level: hellgate menace. though the gameplay is overall not a great aspect of this level, the bossfight is extremely detailed, and uses effects well within it.
9. KrmaL: Good usage of colors, shading is quite good, decoration varies a lot between levels, and no two of his levels are the same. great usage of triggers to submerge the player of his levels in the experience. his gameplay, is either loved or hated by a player. in my case, i quite like it, as i am all for originality. quite well used gimmicks that are not usually seen in any levels, such as orb timings, spam, and other weird things that are not usually used. overall a great creator.
8. LMAnubis: Overall uses a great natural theme in his levels, which gives him an edge against other creators. i can reference my favorite anubis level, natures essence, to this. overall it is a fun level with simple yet enjoyable gameplay. decoration shows simple block usage, which blends well with backgrounds and some details that latch to blocks well. the execution of the art of bugs and insects such as the bees and spiders, is very well made for an extremely early 2.1 level. great creator, as are all of these ten.
7. DimaVikulov26: I have no idea how i always spell that right. anyways, onto this guy. he could legitimately do ANYTHING in 1.9. it is insane with levels like peasy world using pads to create particles on the ground. overall, gameplay does not bring much to the table, but this is more than made up by his great art in levels such as SaKraG, featuring a great piece of art, using the 1.9 editor, with a sailboat on an ocean lit up by the night sky. Zone X has great 3D usage, somehow using multiple things of which are far ahead of his time.
6. Hinds: how can you not love the guy? he literally creates such good design. gameplay has a certain charm that i can’t exactly describe. decoration, while simple carries a nice feeling in a light color scheme that has obviously been paid attention to. his gameplay is good, with great design, nice colors, decoration is great, and overall gives quite accessable levels to play for a progressing player.
5. Juhou: Like chase, with bad gameplay and fantastic decoration, except even better. his decoration takes on a sandy, egypt-esque theming, overall having fluid movements and lots of good triggers, such as his trademark “yellow pulsing to green.” overall his loads of decoration add consistency that can show you, in a level he collabed in, before you see his name, “Yes! this is Juhou!”
4. Shocksidian: Well used style of hinds, with a twist, more decoration, overall more to it, while still being the perfect balance of simple and complex. his gameplay stays true to what hinds would do, with great, bright colors, and good usage of colored 1.0 grid blocks, and well used 3D blocks. Overall a beloved creator of whom you can learn a lot from.
3. BIANOX: can teach you a thing or two about how to decorate. he has a great amount of deco, decent gameplay, great colors, and he has some great decoration gimmicks, that, where you can’t see it well, if you observe close enough, you can see that there is more than you can see on the surface. usage of fantastic colors makes it so you focus in enough, and see the finer details. this was to make the player see the amount of deco they wanted to see.
2. 2003devin: what can i say? the decoration he makes is extreme, and though it can be disturbing, it is quite fun to play, with gimmicky gameplay and great atmosphere. he can do things in a level never done before. he is arguably the most original creator ever, not wanting rates, but to show what he can do. he can do things nobody even tried to do, and makes things i cannot explain. this is why i can respect him so much.
1. Funnygame: The only one who could top 2003devin, is someone who has influenced me since i started in 1.0. when funnygame holiday came out, one word went to my head, as i said, “woah, those are like special effects!” this gave me an idea. i practiced effects since 1.7, and have a huge amount of training in how to build them. he blew our minds through 1.0, and still is doing it today.
Least:
