I've been on these forums since the very beginning, but haven't been active for a couple of years at this point. I think I made a thread like this last year but immediately quit the game again lmao I'm interested in getting back into the game, but it's been so long that I'm kind of lost haha. Has anything interesting happened around here? I see that the overall quality of levels has dramatically increased. I've always loved building, but is it even worth trying to build new levels and compete against established creators anymore?
Sorry if this is in the wrong subforum, I wasn't sure whether to post it here or in Personal.

I've just gotten back on the game after being somewhat inactive for around a year, and on these forums after being completely inactive for around 5 months (although before I made this account, I had been inactive for a little over a year and a half, I think). To my knowledge nothing new has really happened, but it's not like I'm nearly as interested in anything to do with GD as I used to be. RobTop started getting less silent with 2.2 stuff recently though, so I'm waiting a bit to see if something will happen on January 2 (same day as 2020 awards for GD).
You could still catch up to current creators, I think, as long as you kinda get to know your strengths and weaknesses when building - emphasize your strengths and try to lessen your weaknesses by gradually learning how to overcome them and incorporate them effectively into your levels. On the other hand, if your skills so far allow you to make a level with at least fun and non-glitchy gameplay, I think you should still go for it since many will often enjoy a fun, simple level over one that is only fun to look at and not actually play. It all comes down to what you need or want to learn and how you choose to do that.

BlassCFB quit, Sunix is going inactive on and off, New Players are rising to glory, people are trying to beat silent circles, riot quit, his channel got terminated, he came back, and beat sonic wave, a player name crazen got exposed as a pedophile, skitten quit, bloodbath is at 140, sonic wave is at 30, new top 1 is tartarus. Phew.

Stalemate has been found to be objectively the best level in the game.
That is all.
