So after a whole lot of silence we FINALLY got some new content.
And OH BOY does it look complicated.
But I who fucking cares this feature looks great.

Looks cool but I'm not sure how often this will be used. It still irks me RobTop is still teasing us with new features, showing us how far he still has to go until 2.2.

This seems like a really cool new feature but it also seems really overcomplicated for something that could be a lot simpler. I hope RobTop makes the interface a little bit cleaner so that way we don't need a whole guide on how to use the new feature.
Also if 2.2 actually comes out not only will I sing but I'll reveal all my DMs on every website ever

Allow me to copy paste this from Instagram.
Robtop. For once, Made a really good feature that most of the community didn't expected or wanted, I can see a really good use on this as well as it will last really long (assuming 2.3 won't take ages). Might be a small feature but it can be a massive boost on levels, especially effects.
Hoping for 2.2 to come out as soon as possible with this and the other features being done.
also who's betting that the difficulty face particles will be overused later on generic levels because i sure do

This seems really cool! I'm interested how people will use these. My only nitpick though is that it seems pretty confusing, with all the unknown terms and stuff. It might be a prototype though, so hopefully it'll be more clear when 2.2 releases.

It's a cool idea but I honestly don't see myself using it much, if at all, I question how good it will really look in an actual level

You know what? I don't think it's a very good feature. For one, it looks too complicated which means the learning curve is too steep, people will have to memorize what each of the options do to figure out how to get the effect they want, and they are definitely not self explanatory. Once I finally remember what the last option does I will probably have forgotten what the first one does. Secondly it is a pretty niche feature that isn't that useful in a lot of contexts, because particles are an "add-on" to decoration rather than the main, core part. Which means people will overuse it and create lots of lag.
It's an OK feature, but I think robtops time would be better spent finishing what he has already developed and finishing the update.
Robtop worked hard on it and I appreciate that, but, hard work =/= good end product

I also don’t get why everyone thinks they’re so confusing - they’re just the basic options in any particle system.

This seems like an interesting thing to mess with but I think RobTop would need to make some decent explanation on how to modify these particle effects. I can see some people not knowing what certain values mean.
