When playing games, boss battles are always my favourite parts of that game. What can make or break a boss fight though, is the soundtrack that plays while fighting it. Being me, music is pretty important to me and when a boss battle gets it right, boy oh boy can it be good.

Almost all of the boss songs in Undertale are exceptional. (Heartache, Bergentruking, Megalovania, and Battle Against a True Hero being the best imo)

honestly the terraria boss themes are probably the best out of any game, and i'd say that the boss 2 theme is the best one by faar

Yeah, the first thing that came to mind was Battle Against a True Hero from Undertale. I just love that song so much and it fits the circumstances perfectly.
I don't play a lot of games with bosses though, but I have heard some truly amazing music during an intense/final section of a game:
- Morphogenetic Sorrow during the True Ending of 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (also plays during the final scene of the Safe Ending)
- Prayer for Victory during 2-E, 3-13 in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
- Twilight of the Gods in Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia (I've never played this so I'm not sure how often it plays, but I know it at least happens during the final boss fight)

Pretty much anything from the Souls games. Gwynn from DS1, Sir Alonne from DS2, Gael from DS3, Midir from DS3, Twin Princes from DS3, Sister Friede from DS3, Champion’s Gravetender and Greatwolf from DS3, Lady Maria from BB, Gherman from BB, etc. The soundtracks to these games are incredible. Easily the best soundtracks out of any of the games that I’ve played. I also have fond memories of Cynthia’s theme from way back in the day. Pretty catchy.
