So I picked up a 240hz monitor (yes I know 240hz wow!!!) which bugs out the game pretty badly running the full 240hz, so, I set my monitor to 144hz to fix these issues and all that happens is the general refresh rate changes, but not the FPS cap from geometry dash. So long story short the bugs still arise in 144hz that usually would be in 240hz. Does anyone know how to set the FPS cap to 144?

240Hz is not for GD at all. Your computer may be too weak to handle the monitor’s power.

I have a good enough computer, the problem is that the physics change and make some levels impossible and when I switch to 144hz the fps cap for geometry dash stays on 240 which makes the same 240hz bugs come around.

240Hz is not for GD at all. Say that to RpgRaketti and Sung-Su Kim To contribute to the topic, did you reopen GD after setting your hz? Perhaps it'll stay at 240 if you don't reopen it after changing?
