How come your hardest demon is only a Hard/Insane Demon if you have so many? Nothing like Red World Rebirth?

Nothing like Red World Rebirth? because skill. memory is not the only thing it takes. i personally can say that i have low skill for the number of demons i have, which is why i haven't beaten that many hard levels. plus, there are many, many easy/medium demons that you can beat to boost your demon count but not your actual skill. also red world rebirth sucks why would anyone ever play it lol

Someone like Sunix would beat Red World Rebirth just to have another Extreme Demon.

Having 100 demons doesn't necessarily mean you're skilled, but usually, the player has beaten at least one very hard demon. It's quite hard to find 100 free demons

It really just depends on the level. If the level is really inconsistent, then all you need is luck on your side. If the level has really fast gameplay and many transitions happening in a short period of time (such as Kitty by F3lixsram), then you need to have good muscle memory and consistency. If a level is very straightforward, but just puts all of the modes to their limit (like straight-fly, timing cube jumps, etc.), then you need a lot of skill to complete it. I would say that most difficult demons are muscle memory and consistency though.

Some combination of the three, probably.

Muscle memory is the most important, followed by skill.

Considering my demons get progressively harder I'd say skill

I've always thought (and idk if it's really true or not) that with enough time, even someone who hasn't beaten Stereo Madness can complete a hard demon. All levels are equally possible, it's just that with less skill and luck getting enough muscle memory will take longer (more attempts), but eventually you'll do it. For me, after doing extremely easy demons, I suddenly did Airtime and Sidestep (I know, those are also easy, but they weren't for me), both of which took me around 1.5k attempts - but now I have them completed and even my skill got better.
So I'd say muscle memory with skill being also important. You only *need* muscle memory though, as in, it's *completely necessary* for beating a hard demon. Skill will make it easier and it will make you more consistent.

#3 perfectly describes the process you take for beating a level, you have to practice a level over and over again until you get consistent. The higher your skill level, the faster it happens. Luck is minimal compared to memory and skill, and it mostly applies to buggy parts within the level.

I honestly think that it's all three, but skill is weighed the highest. It's also kinda a case by case basis as some levels need more muscle memory than others, but generally if you have enough skill, you can sight read levels easier, thus allowing for more frequent flukes during pressure. Having enough experience with the game also decreases the amount of time it takes for you to learn a level, thus helping muscle memory.
You need to skill to be able to excel in other areas, but other areas compliment skill. (assuming it's not galactic fragility)

I think it depends on what point are you on, are you learning the level, or are you playing the level from 0. If you are learning the level, skill and consistency are the most important factors in learning. When you are playing from 0, you need the luck to get past your record and consistency to be able to get to that point a lot of times. Memory also plays a factor when beating harder and longer levels.
