There's a small town about 25 miles from where I live, and they have one restaurant and it's literally called "Restaurant." A few more: Fuzzy's Tacos Nothing Bundt Cakes Chuy's (Pronounced Chewy's) Hooters Spanky's Pizza There are probably some more that I just can't think of now. But these are the ones that I have seen that I can remember.  |

It sounds so weird. "I wanna Likya"...?
It used to be called 'Kosk' but with a little squiggly line below the S. I think I know why the name changed. But it didn't get any better.

Also found an electronic store in the same area called 'Cex' but the C is apparently pronounced as an S.
"I'm going to Cex"...?

Either way I would never go inside of a Hooters. Weirdly enough, I saw a Hooters close to a place called John's Incredible Pizza, which a lot of kids are gonna go... not sure who made the choice to put a place like John's Incredible Pizza pretty close to a semi-strip club. |

I go there all the time when I'm in town, everyone I know (even myself) pronounce the store as C-E-X though instead of pronouncing it as one word. The correct way to say it is 'sex', it's just that you morally don't say it like that unless you want to get bullied. OT: All these Chinese takeaways have the best names: there's one in my city called 'King Wang' 😌 |
