I am looking for tips on how to improve my straight fly. Any tips relating to other game modes are also appreciated.
MODS: There is no definite answer to this so I put it in debate. Feel free to move if you want )/

This probably would go in Personal more honestly.
Anyway, I would say just have BOTC's give you some of his hac- I mean Magic Straight Flying Powder to help you. That, or just simply practice it.

Depends what's your input lag or refresh rate. If you have a lot of input lag, straight flying might be difficult or barely possible, while with less refresh rate it may be a little more wobbly.
When I'm trying to straight fly, I'm trying to tap very lightly but fairly quickly (however not too spammy). On faster speeds you don't need to tap as fast, because it's easier to fly straight on faster speeds. On slow/normal speed it might be a little difficult though.

Just add a Dash Orb before the flying part

They say that 144hz monitors help a lot in straight fly, but I probably won't suggest to get one if that's the only purpose you're getting it for.
Try tapping on the rhythm or with some pattern. It helps a lot when straight fly. And also, focus on your icon whenever you're straight flying.

First, use a ship you feel good with.
Practice in all velocities in easy levels or make a copy of Bloodbath and use the first ship part to practice like i did.
Or the easy way, get 144hz.

So much bullshit about monitors that my eyes hurt.
I use a 60hz 5ms and I could almost finish bb (I've probably quitted it).
Try practicing a level with a shitload of straight flying like bb.
It helped me alot.

It helped me alot. I was only joking about that It's indeed possible to straight fly with 60hz, it's just really hard >.<

For me what most helped was using a ship that ended in a straight point, like the shark ship, because it was easiest for me to tell when my ship was pointing straight and I could focus on making that point straight forward.

you can still easily die even with a lot of practice bc it's 100% skill and 0% memorization
