Just a SMALL follow-up on the art of building faster.
Open the spoiler below. (if you dare haha) There are also features in the editor that can help you build faster. Here are some of them. - Build Helper and other tools below that. Found in the pause screen in the editor. These tools are basically like automation, such as automatically assigning new group IDs, automatically adding edges, automatically removing unused colour channels, etc. They are good at doing things fast and accurately, so learn them and integrate them into your building process. - Free Move and Snap. The Free Move option allows you to move objects by hand. The Snap option snaps objects to the grid. When you wanna move objects but don't want to use the buttons in Edit, you can use this. - The custom object tab in Build (the last tab). Select a group of objects and press + at the tab. Then, you can make duplicates of that object without painstakingly copy and paste. Do note that the editor cannot check whether an object is already present at the grid square you selected, so you may accidentally place two custom objects at the same time. To delete custom objects, select the custom object and press -. - Start Pos. This object lets you alter the starting position of the icon to test certain parts of the level. Change the settings of the start pos by Edit Object. I think you know some of them already. In fact, GD is littered with quality-of-life tools for the sake of faster building. www.boomlings.com/files/GJGuide.pdfThis is a link to the Geometry Dash Editor Guide for everything you want to check. (this is also linked in the game but it may be painful to read on mobile) For tricks for faster building: - Choose a block that you can always mass delete, for example the default block. They will be useful in drawing outlines, building layouts, or basically act as a temporary hitbox. (unless you are making an 1.0-esque level) - Start from simple outlines, then work through the details. Doing something simpler will help you fill in the time of thinking about the more subtle deco. - Be familiar with which objects belongs to which tab so you don't need to check all possible tabs again to find that glow object or cog or so on. - Build in sessions. Long building will cause fatigue and slow down your building. - Save frequently to ensure a minimal loss when your brain is offline and you simply swipe the game to termination, losing everything you built after the last save. Final words: if you think that using hours to build a single block deco will yield the best results, then so be it. I am saying this the second time here, but levels take time to be built. You can shave off some time by using tricks and features, but it's going to cost you time and dedication.

Hey, some questions: 2. What are exactly speedcore demons? I have heard about them but i dont really know what they are 2. Not exactly sure. Can anybody explain this? I do find a demon called Speedcore though. My guess is they usually required high CPS to pass.
iirc just a demon using a somewhat fast song and with gameplay (again, iirc) that is synced to the song quite a bit (and that's why the high cps)

I've made some arts, designs and more for a level and that was Nature Travel. One year of hard work with some themes, and now: I'm actually building a new level, which contains cool effects, greatest stuff and also, it's a hard demon as well. In this period, I'm trying to build something original but it's actually inspired on Dream Travel. From the gameplay, it looks like a remake of Against The God but I already said it: it's actually inspired on Dream Travel. I wish. Something is coming.

This maybe dumb What is a texture pack? Perhaps... You can try to download some textures packs for the currently version 2.11.

This thread is for people to ask simple questions that aren't really important enough to warrant their own thread. This should be helpful to members newer to the game/forum or people who are just confused about something. Information/Rules: –The question must be about Geometry Dash, the forum, Newgrounds music, or the community in some way. –Anyone, staff or just regular member, can answer somebody's question, but don't answer if you aren't sure. –NO joke questions or responses. These will clutter up the thread, this is meant to be useful. Ask away! Very Simple question: how do you change your background color on the profile thing? Not sure what to call it, but it's the light green background on people's avatars when they post a thread or reply to something. Is it awarded, do you need special permission, or am I just missing something?

Sorry to bother, but how do I exactly do that? What is the "search HTML codes"? Is it a button, or search bar that I am just not seeing?

Sorry to bother, but how do I exactly do that? What is the "search HTML codes"? Is it a button, or search bar that I am just not seeing? HTML codes, or hex code, is a 6-digit hexadecimal number used to represent colour. It's actually RGB and there are a ton of websites available for you to convert a colour you can pick in the colour wheel into hex. e.g. dc69bb means 220, 105, 187 in RGB, which is kind of magenta and purple. Regarding your question about avatars, you can edit your so-called 'mini-profile' in your Personal section of Edit Profile. For the background you can actually plop an image, so the format is like this. (this is how I put it, making it show black) {"image":"","color":"000000"} The bottom is the format of the remaining settings of the mini-profile. Mine is like this. Name colour: ffff00 Text colour: 00ffff
Ah yes one thing, you don't need to quote the OP, Lumpy.

Thanks. Got really confused there for a second.
I figured I didn't need to quote, but got confused for some reason about that as well. Not very good at communicating in GD forums.

Does beating old cataclysm count as beating an extreme demon? Not anymore. Unless you play on mobile. It’s around ICDX difficulty, which is an insane on anything other than mobile.
