The only reason why the petition even existed is because of us. The community. Children uploading their favorite songs on NG thinking that they won't scout and remove the song from NG. Someone should really educate these people on the audio reviewing process on NG, otherwise more people will upload unoriginal work onto the website.
When I saw the NG tweets' replies, I cringed. There were some people that claimed that NG would've been unknown without GD partnering with it. But these people have absolutely no idea what the hell Newgrounds is in the slightest. The website is probably older than some of them who tweeted those things, which makes me cringe even further. Some people pointed fingers at NG, especially at a certain audio mod that I will not say here, but imagine yourself in their shoes. Your favorite online web portal, being jeopardized thanks to a music-based mobile game, what would you do? Stand around and wait until your favorite website disappears into oblivion thanks to copyright infringement? No, of course not. You would stand up and voice your opinion against these asshats. That website holds strong memories from my childhood, where I was in the game section and played tons of games and had fun. This quote alone, is the reason why I have faith in the community. For those who didn't saw similar threads, you may be asking: "If NG wasn't involved with this, then why was it taken down?" I heard that 2.1 infringed Nintendo's Copyright due to some new blocks looking like it was taken from Super Mario, I find this quite stupid, but RobTop may change those certain blocks' textures to avoid a nasty copyright from a worldwide Japanese company.

What a relief, now the two communities can stop fighting for a bit. there is no newgrounds community. It hasn't been relevant since 2004 except with GD players lmao ...you're not serious, right? |
