My insides are screaming with joy because of the "11" in the bottom right corner of my monitor replacing the "10" from yesterday. If you don't get it, it's November, and 2.1 could be any time now. FREAKING TRU I'm debatin this w/ mom and considering Rob *Wants* to release it before Mid November and Mid November is in 2 weeks, it could either be this week or next. OMFG.

"Wave-compatible blocks are also added"*prepares for all the horrible ways this could be used* Can you give some examples for that? Not disagreeing with you, just curious on how they can be used badly. Basically memorization: you could easily create sections of blocks with only some as wave compatible, and only hit those sections. You might have to hold onto a section that is wave-compatible, and if you don't realize that you'll have to spam inside a very small space. When entering a portal (especially reverse) while spamming, you might hit wave-compatible blocks and make the transition inconsistent until you realize there are blocks there, and even then you'd have to purposely land/hold on them. If they look the same you'll basically have to use Practice mode to determine whether you can land on it your not, or take a very large risk. Also, how are those blocks going to work if stacked vertically? Rotated?

Most of those problems seem like they'd only be a thing if the wave-compatible blocks look exactly the same as the original, though. I think RobTop would make their design would be more distinctive (like the breakable blocks) where it's pretty easy to distinguish from normal blocks.

Would you be able to distinguish the blocks when you're going at 4x speed or when they're coloured to the background?

I mean, name a featured level that uses completely invisible blocks to troll you.

I think that the new mechanic blocks (wave, no hold) are visible only in the editor and not in the gameplay (like barriers in Minecraft), and are meant to be overlayed on the actual blocks.

I mean, most of those are really problems with other mechanics then wave-compatible blocks themselves. Many other things become bad gameplay aspects as well with alpha triggers and 4x speed will make it hard to distinguish plenty of other things.
