Hello everybody!
As many of you know, there will be a major change to the Community News thread. Instead of writing our separate posts about different happenings in the community, we are now making one big news post every Monday that covers the news-worthy content that has occurred in the past week! There will also be a smaller Friday post that covers some content that may have happened shortly after the posting of the Monday Cast.
Now that everyone has some background, I would like to try and provide some sort of organization method that should hold constant for all of the Monday casts, just to keep things more organized and make sure that everyone is getting the news in the clearest way possible.
Basic Structure:
Introduction:
Now, I know that I am one of those different News Casters who will always introduce themselves and sign off, and I have good reason. The main cause of my introductory phrases is to get the reader ready for the cast that lies ahead, serving as sort of a preparatory transition, and it also serves as a secondary credit-giver to the caster who writes the post. This is why I would like the News Caster who writes a post to also write an introduction.
Example 1 - Hello everybody, Deltablu here. Please enjoy this Monday's news cast!
Example 2 - Hey guys, it's Deltablu. I hope you like this news cast!
Body:
When writing the body, try to be as specific as possible, but also throw in a few of your personal opinions, so that the reader does not feel like they are being bored to hell by fact after fact after fact after... you get the idea. For example, if you were reporting on Acharne beating Sonic Wave (it's gonna happen), do not write something similar to the following sentence:
Today, Acharne beat Sonic Wave, a demon created by Cyclic. This level has been remade several times, and Acharne beat the second edition, a dark blue version. When playing, Acharne had fails at 72%, 75%, etc.
Some of you might have liked that, but doesn't this one sound better?
After months of hard work, the amazing player, Acharne, has finally defeated one of the most extreme demons of all time, Sonic Wave! Sonic Wave was originally created by the player Cyclic near the end of Update 1.9 as an effort to match the difficulty of Riot's Bloodbath. Sonic Wave has been remade a several amount of times, and the version which Acharne beat was the second version; the buffed and dark-blue version (created by Cyclic) of the first edition itself. Acharne has had a tough journey, failing at 72%, 75%, and (further percents to come).
Then for the rest of the post, insert footage of the verification, provide more background information concerning why this event happened (if possible), and conclude the portion with a closing statement such as:
We all hope to see a lot more success from Acharne in the future!
Moving on, the categorizing of the body:
Beaten Levels:
Mention 2-5 major level beatings in the community, and not some insignificant B.S like "Merg beat The Furious" or "Maxis9 beat Luminum". The requirements that a level must meet to be regarded news-worthy enough for this section is that the level must stand in the Top 30 Hardest Demons at the time of the post-writing. For example, news that would fit here would be "Maxis9 beat Red World Rebirth" or "Satcho beat Bloodbath". Try to order the happenings in this section by the importance of each event. Format like this
Level Verification Statistics:
There are a few levels which are allowed in this section, and since there is an entire thread dedicated to this, this section must be simple and short. Do not explain what each of the levels are, and it's your choice whether or not to provide footage. This is how this thread will be formatted:
Level Creations/Publications:
This section is dedicated towards listing 2-3 of some big levels which were published. When I say "big", I mean a level that has/had some importance in the community. For example, if a level is published which receives #1 on the Featured list, it goes here. If a level which has been awaited for an extended amount of time is finally published, it goes here. If a creator makes a comeback and creates/publishes a level, it goes here. If a level receives a position on the Top 50 Hardest Demons list, it goes here. Last rule is if a level causes its creator to pass a CP milestone (50, 100, 150, or 200 CP), then it goes here. Here is your format:
Bloodbath
Publisher: Riot
Creators (try to provide in order of appearance): Weoweoteo, Vermillion, Michigun, Evasium, Crack, Asonicmen, Etzer, Havok, GironDavid, Ggb0y
Reason of Importance: Received #1 spot on the Top 50 Hardest Demons list shortly after publication, and was awaited for a long time by the community
Include as many as you'd like. Wrap this section up with any closer you'd like, preferably one similar to: Come back next week to see the new list of important published levels!
Top 10 Featured Levels:
This section consists of the Top 10 Featured levels shown on the Featured page in the game. Now, I know that new levels are constantly being added, and I've come up with a solution. Make sure to mention that the list provided is taken from the list available at 9:00 P.M. EST. List/format them like this:
Top 10 Featured Levels as of 9:00 P.M. EST on 10/2/2016:
1. Team B by Usermatt18 -
6
2. Start by Serponge -

No need to write a closer on this section.
Other:
Use this section to write about anything that cannot be placed into the categories above, but is very important in the community. This would include "Pasiblitz reaching 1000 demons", "Surv quit, and TrusTa will verify Yatagarasu", or "MaleVeronica confesses to hacking". Format this in any way you'd like.
(Done with body)
Extra Information:
This section is dedicated to your research. Here, you do not act by the rule stated at the beginning of the body guidelines. This area is just for facts which are relevant in any material which you have typed. Please try to write as much as possible, as we want to convey as much as we can.
Closer:
The final part of this massive cast, the closer. When closing, try to include 1 or 2 big things that you have written about, like:
The two pieces of news which were the most important in my mind were (insert news stuff). This is because (insert opinions about previously stated issues).
Then end on a closing message, and a sign off:
Thank you all for reading my Monday news cast! Come back next week!

In short, here's how your post should look:

UPDATE:
There is now a weekly news cast rotation system for who will be writing the cast for the week.
If a news caster does not cast when it's their turn on the rotation to write the cast, then it will be taken down for record, and adds on chance for a demotion (not my call, but I'm guessing you shouldn't be a News Caster if you're not casting).
Rotation:

2. Waterarko
3. ·Goosey·
4. Retired moderator.
5. @kappstablook
6. @themeaningfulgd
