Hello, this is my second serious level after finishing my first serious level "Unity Advanced". I was going to try for an XL demon but I underestimated how long that actually takes .-. this took about a month or two to create and a month to verify since I struggled so much trying to, I eventually gave up and had someone else verify after dying 85%+ MANY TIMES. Gameplay Pretty good overall. While there are a ton of moving obstacles in the level, most of them are predictable and not unexpected at all (except for a few I'll get into later). The dual parts are very fun to play since they required looking at both parts and weren't too buggy, especially for mixed duals. 65-70% had a really creative and nice dual gameplay design with the teleporting ball and the wave being really well-synced to each other. Difficulty is also fairly balanced with the level staying very hard throughout its entirety.
There are a few minor gameplay flaws, though. Since they occur individually and only in certain moments, I'll just list them.
- At 11%, there's a bug where it's possible to skip the upside-down portal by going directly under it and just staying on the structure (not the coin route).
- At 39-40%, the moving obstacles in the UFO are somewhat unpredictable. Maybe you should keep the arrow ('>') guidelines visible at all times instead appearing only when the obstacles appear so that the player knows where to go beforehand.
- The transition at 55% is somewhat and sometimes the bottom cube will land too far and hit the spike.
- At 90%, it's impossible to see that there's a yellow jump pad in LDM. Put an arrow pointing to it above it so that the player can know something is there.
Aside from these, though, the gameplay is fine. Most other unexpected moving/appearing obstacles are fairly predictable or have marks to show them, like at 14-16% before the drop. Really good of you to add those there. Decoration The design, while mostly clean, can get empty at parts. 25-38% are empty-looking except for when the effect parts. 25-35% in particular could really use more foreground decoration like blocks, spikes, or sawblades since otherwise it still looks empty regardless of the amount of BG decoration. At 50-60%, it's filled up somewhat well by the custom BG hexagons and blocks but adding more decoration to the black spike areas would definitely help fill it up more. The red segment immediately afterwards could have another custom BG or just use pulsing objects that follow the player's trail to fill up the decoration. The 75-78% part really needs a lot more decoration, like surrounding the gravity portals or on the block edges. The green ball part is similar to the 35-38% red ball part in that it's very empty when the effect doesn't appear. Adding more of the shiny glass decoration can help fill it up a bit without making it too messy.
Most of the block design, while decent and varied throughout the entire level, is pretty unoriginal since there are a lot of 2.0 levels with similar themes that use the exact same block design. There should've been more parts like the last segment, which was still stuck to the theme but was excellently designed and brought something new to the table. The mini-boss fight also had a pretty creative attack design. Color choices are pretty good, unsaturated, and complement each other well when there are two or more of them.
Overall, it's clean and has its moments but a lot of parts are pretty empty deco-wise and the design is somewhat unoriginal.
Music Sync A+ music sync. Moving obstacles, transitions, effects, and cube/robot/ball jumps all sync beautifully to the song. Design theme and gameplay fit well with the song too. Great job here.
Overall Design suffers from some emptiness and lack of originality but the gameplay and music sync are top-notch. I'd say this is Borderline Feature-Worthy
